The CEW Beauty Awards program is one of the year’s most anticipated events for all beauty industry insiders.  For a product to receive this award is to receive "the beauty industry’s highest honor."  The CEW award recognizes the year’s most innovative products– in 2006 over 10,000 products were launched.  The CEW awards the products that the beauty industry officials deem the best!  These are not just expensive brands they are all beauty products, drugstore or department store brands.

I know this sounds great but what is CEW anyway?  CEW stands for Cosmetic Executive Women Inc. which is a non-profit organization based out of New York City that was founded in 1954 as a social organization for professional women working in the cosmetics industry.  Now, with over 4,000 executives from the beauty, cosmetics and fragrance sectors, CEW has grown to become the leading trade organization for the beauty industry.   The organization helps its members develop career contacts, knowledge, and skills that may advance them on both personal and professional levels.  CEW’s mission is not only to support working women in the cosmetics industry but everyday women too.  CEW’s philanthropic arm includes organizations to help women better their lives, for example Cancer and Careers is dedicated to helping professional women working with cancer.

Since the CEW Beauty Awards is a highly anticipated event, I wanted to highlight some of this years winner’s with you in a five part series.  We will be presenting the CEW awards for the best treatments, facial, eye and lip products for skin care and makeup.  If you have tried any of the products we present, please let us know what your experience has been, we encourage you to ask questions and give your own personal feedback on the products.
