How To: Sun-kissed Summer BeautyWe all know the dangers of soaking up too much sun but the lure of that golden glow is just too irresistible.  This summer it’s all about sporting a sun-kissed glow, without the sun.  Think sheer, light shades of peach, pink, gold, and of course bronzer, bronzer, bronzer!  Get Eva’s bronzed goddess look:

Face: Summer requires lighter more sheer textures on our skin.  Put away the full-coverage foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer instead.  Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer applied with your fingertips will work double-time to even out your skin tone and protect from the sun with SPF 20.  Blend a sheer cream cheek color in a peachy shade across your cheeks and the bridge of your nose for that just-back-from-the-beach look.

Bronze it up!  Bronzer is #1 for summer beauty.  Try a bronzing gel on your face and body, followed up by dusting a rosy-brown compact powder bronzer to set.  Take a puffy powder bronzer brush, dip in a bit of bronzer—loose or compact form and dust it where the sun would naturally hit—forehead, cheekbones, nose, chin, and down the neck.  If you are exposing some décolleté, dust bronzer there, too—perhaps one with shimmer.  Try Estée Lauder’s Soft Shimmer Bronzer from the Bronze Goddess Collection.

Eyes: Start with a sheer wash of metallic gold cream shadow on the lid and blend from the lash line up to the brow bone.  A cream shadow that dries to a water-resistant, powder finish works best to prevent creasing during wear.  Use a copper brown khol pencil over the lash line and smudge upwards for a softening effect.  Not to much liner below the eye in this easy-going, day-time look.  Curl the lashes and coat with black mascara.

Lips: Use neutral lip pencil—maybe with a hint of peach or a pinky-brown and top off with some sheer color.  I love Chanel’s Glossimer in Glow for a long-lasting, vitamin-infusing shine.
